Shooting Sports and Parliament

BASC works to ensure that all political parties support shooting sports. We do this by working with individual MPs to inform them about the benefits of shooting.

BASC is particularly concerned by the potential damage to legitimate shooting sports by the tragic murders in West Cumbria on the 2nd June. In the past similar atrocities at both Hungerford and Dunblane have led to significant restrictions on legal shooting sports.

This campaign site allows you to give your views to your MP and support BASC's campaign to secure sensible, safe and workable firearms legislation.

Over the next few weeks while we await the results of the Cumbria Police inquiry and the House of Commons debate. We are asking the shooting community to contact their MPs to inform them of the importance of shooting sports.

You can also:

• Check where your MP stands on shooting.

• Email your MP to establish their position, if they have not recorded one, and inform them of your views.

• Invite your MP to find out more about shooting.

When you email your MP please copy the response you receive to politics@basc.org.uk
